About Me
I’m a junior at Northeastern University, where I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Astrophysics. My academic journey is driven by a fascination with how engineering can push the boundaries of exploration and innovation. I’m passionate about materials science and particle physics, exploring how material properties influence mechanical systems and how fundamental forces impact our understanding of the universe.
My primary interest lies in exploring the universe through the lens of a mechanical engineer. This passion is reflected in my research endeavors. As the Mechanical Lead for the NEST project with SEDS, I spearheaded the development of a networked swarm of lunar exploration robots, drawing on my experience from working on the COBRA (Crater Observing Bio-inspired Rolling Articulator) project. I thrive on collaborating with diverse teams and pushing the envelope in both technical and practical aspects of engineering. My internship at Lutron Electronics honed my skills in tool design, tolerance analysis, and 3D printing, which I have leveraged in my extracurricular projects, significantly enhancing my capabilities in robotics and expanding my engineering horizons.
My volunteer work, including founding Boston Clothing Outreach and leading various initiatives, complements my technical pursuits by sharpening my project management and community engagement skills. Whether developing innovative solutions or connecting with the community, I’m driven by a commitment to making a tangible impact through engineering. This drive extends to my creative side, where I love reworking clothes, viewing design through both an artistic and engineering lens. I also founded the NU-SCI Magazine weekly newsletter, where I channel my passion for writing to share scientific insights and discoveries. My role as a Student Alumni Ambassador further reflects my dedication to giving back and engaging with the community.
Outside of my academic and volunteer commitments, I maintain a strong connection to my Spanish heritage, as I originate from Zaragoza, Spain. I cherish the opportunity to immerse myself in Spain's rich historical culture during my visits. A hobby close to my heart is recreating traditional Spanish recipes, inspired by my grandmother's expertise, and delving into the beauty of Spanish literature. Nature and adventure beckon me when I'm in Spain, and I often find myself hiking the Moncayo Mountain.
I am also a lover of the arts, ranging from fashion and photography to music. As a devoted music enthusiast, my taste knows no bounds, embracing a diverse range of genres, including rock, blues, and jazz.
My multicultural background and insatiable thirst for knowledge motivate me to make a meaningful impact on the world. I am excited to embark on a journey that combines my passion for engineering, astrophysics, and robotics to contribute to the exploration of the cosmos.
